Diversity at Newport
The University is strongly committed to the concept and promotion of equality for all current and prospective staff and students. This commitment is fundamental to the achievement of the University’s Mission and to create a diverse environment where individuals are enabled to meet their full potential.
Unfair discrimination can arise across the whole spectrum of the University’s activities such as recruitment and selection, development and promotion as well as in curriculum content and delivery. It is therefore the responsibility of all staff and students not only to ensure that any form of unfair discrimination, whether direct or indirect, is not tolerated, but also to value diversity and actively promote equality of opportunity for all, irrespective of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation or religion and belief.
